Welcome to the art of Marius Roodenburg. (1961-2022)

Marius is an artist who has long been fascinated by form, colour and materials from different cultures as well as by the energy they radiate. He has developed an outspoken style expressing the most concise summary of what he thinks and feels on a certain subject.
At a certain moment it reveals itself in a figurative form. Form and coulour are in service of the expression. In first instance an oil painting is made. Some works are taken a step further to place them in the context of their surroundings in the form of a large photo storyboard.
The works reveal themselves over time so feel free to take your time to look around.

Marius Roodenburg died suddenly in September 2022, his works are now offered for auction at Veilinghuis Peerdeman in Utrecht. Several auctions will take place, the next auction will take place on April 23: viewing days are on 14,15,16, and on April 21 and 22 from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
